Shanghai/New York-based multidisciplinary artist and member of Science New Wave, Hongxiang Zhou works across new media art, sculpture and installation, video, conceptual film, photography, Chinese painting and calligraphy.

His practice moves freely between traditional and contemporary visual languages, exploring new ways of seeing, experiencing and interpreting the world.

Zhou’s video and moving-image works have been presented at international film festivals, contemporary art exhibitions and new media art exhibitions across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

His work has received numerous international awards, including the Aion Digital Art Prize (Japan), New York International Art Competition, Buenos Aires Film Festival, Tijuana Vertical Film Festival, International Avant-Garde Film Awards at QUAD Cinema, New York, and recognition at Transmediale in Berlin and the Punto y Raya Abstract Art Festival at the Austrian Film Museum.

He has also created Make Time to Walk for Nike, and has been featured by international and Chinese media including German ART-TV, Shanghai TV and Xinhua News Agency.
