Raphaël Marczak is a creative practitioner, researcher, and lecturer in Interactive Media Design at the University of Waikato. His work explores virtual and extended reality (VR/XR), immersive storytelling, game design, and novel forms of interaction that reconnect digital experiences with the human body where AI is becoming an increasingly common presence within digital worlds. Through both research and creative practice, he investigates sensory interfaces, creating experiences where perception, imagination, and physical engagement become intertwined.

For City of Wonder, he presents VRun, a VR experience created in collaboration with 3D modeller Minica Panchetti and based on music created by electronic music artist EMIKA, inviting participants on a poetic journey through virtual worlds shaped by music, movement, and interaction.
