Paul Cleland

Paul Cleland is a New Zealand digital artist whose practice combines projection mapping, animation and immersive installation to transform architectural spaces into dynamic visual experiences. Working at the intersection of art and technology, his projects explore light, movement and perception, creating captivating environments that invite audiences to see familiar spaces in new ways. His work has been presented in galleries, public spaces and major events across Aotearoa New Zealand.

For City of Wonder, Paul presents a large-scale digital installation in a vacant shop at Centre Place. The site-specific work transforms an everyday retail space into an immersive encounter with moving image, bringing innovation, light and a sense of wonder into the heart of Hamilton's city centre.
