Ahsin Ahsin

Ahsin Ahsin is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton with Cook Islands heritage from Aitutaki and Aitu. Working across painting, murals, textiles, installation and public art, his bold visual language draws inspiration from science fiction, comic books, street culture and Pacific identity. His work has been exhibited throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally, with major presentations in New Zealand, Australia, Belgium and India.

For City of Wonder, Ahsin presents work at Different Avenue and a pop-up space on Worley Place. Curated in partnership with Different Avenue, the presentation reflects Ahsin's growing exploration of textiles and fabric-based works, creating a dialogue between contemporary art, fashion and design.
